Pastors Moment: Count your blessings, name them one by one, it - TopicsExpress

Pastors Moment: Count your blessings, name them one by one, it will surprise you what The Lord has done... Sometimes I just sit and sing that famous hymn to myself and I encourage you to take a break from complaining and just say Thank You Lord. Due to my position and interaction I listen to and read many stories touching on several people. Heartbreaking, humbling, sad and sometimes I literally feel helpless. I and many others whose stories I have read have been there, I identify with those who tell me they do not have rent. Like many others who have gone through the same journey, I know what it means to sleep hungry in Nairobi, not because you did not try to do something to place food on the table. I know exactly the pain of not being able to pay public transport fare and instead walking to town from Kawangware or Jogoo road - I have walked those two winding roads and am certain there are many others with even.more inspiring stories than me. When someone tells me about the future being uncertain as Government talks of transformation I totally identify. Last weekend I was in Kilifi where together with a team we started a process to ensure about 425 students of a school there got desks to sit on as they attend class. One Mzee was so excited that he gave me all that I have - A pair of green maize. What do you consider a blessing? what is is it that God can do for you and you are sorted and you believe that your soul is blessed? Now listen before you answer that list of request, write down the list of blessings however insignificant. God has given us “exceeding great and precious promises” (2 Peter 1:4). But we often trust our fears and our feelings more than we trust His Word. Count your blessings and say Thank You to God. God Bless you and Keep You
