Pastors Moment: ‘There is beauty in what is broken.’~ K.K. Hendin Life has moments of happiness but it also has moments of pain. It is also quite frustrating when other people don’t understand us and what we are going through because they may not have undergone it themselves. Everyone has their own measure of trials and tribulations some no doubt worse than others; but regardless, all of them are painful to the victim. When God promises to work everything for the good of those who love him, we tend to assume that He meant only the good things in life after all, what good could possibly come out of the heartache and pain that each of us have gone through. The Lord uses our pain to create individual beautiful stories that we call ‘testimonies’. The importance of testimonies in the Lord’s kingdom is that they are a way of praising the Father by acknowledging His goodness and what He has done for us. No matter how shameful you feel your past may be, it is important to share your testimony because the Good Lord will use it to help more people than you realize. Just as scripture says ‘they overcame him (satan) by the blood of the lamb and the word of their testimony’. Just as our Lord Jesus said, in this world we will have trouble and it is important for us to know this; but He also told us to be of good cheer because He has overcome the world. Do not be intimidated by the trials of life, those come and go. Take your eyes off your problems and behold Jesus, He will turn all your pain and brokenness for your good.
