Pathology Results are in! I can celebrate ... by SLEEPING a lot. All the cancer was removed. Next radiation and hormone therapy. Heres the details for everyone. The pathology report was completed yesterday actually. They removed all the cancer that they found. The two areas originally found were both about 1.5 cm round. They also found another lobular carcinoma in situ (meaning that it was not invasive and fully contain within a lobule). The sentinel node had two areas of grouped cancer cells so the entire node was removed and three additional secondary nodes were removed. (these nodes are the ones that are right next to the primary) They came back clean!!! Additionally, after the first excision, there was cancer in the anterior and medial margins so they removed more tissue. With this additional removal, these margins came back clean as well!!! Yeah! So for those you have asked, Its Stage 1B. Pearl was an aggressive, feisty one and its good we found her now, early before things could develop any further. Thanks to all my loved one - family and friends, my Reiki healers, and angels. Now its time for recovery, healing and getting healthy and strong.
