Patience is a virtue. Sometimes its easy to forget that in the fast-paced world of real estate work. But I do believe everything happens for good reason, and sometimes the reason takes a little time to be revealed. A couple days ago, I felt rather dejected when a referral Id been looking forward to homing abruptly informed me that hed been asked to use his companys relocation agents instead. (To be perfectly honest I was a little miffed, as I make it a point not to take on more than 2-3 time-sensitive cases at a go, and had specially cleared my schedule to prioritise their home search.) But the unexpected freeing up of my time this week meant I was able to meet with a foreign buyer referral yesterday during her brief layover in Singapore. A corporate lawyer turned private banker turned entrepreneur, I really enjoyed the afternoon getting to know the young business owner & on her home purchase requirements. She reminded me of why I stepped into realty work in the first place. It was just what I needed. And again, as I made my way to another clients new home to supervise repair works this afternoon, driving through heavy downpour and traffic, Iamenting how a 10-minute drive had morphed into a 20-minute nightmare... I realised how blessed I was to have avoided having to conduct a property tour in such awful weather conditions. And so, for friends having a bit of a gloomy spell... Dont despair! There is always something to be thankful for. Go mope over a nice hot cuppa if you must, but then move on to happier thoughts! :) #NotAllSmoothSailing #KeepCalmAndCarryOn #GivingThanksEveryday
