Patrick Monk RN · Following · Top Commenter · School of Hard Knocks, The University of Life The real, but often overlooked, reason for cannabis prohibition can be traced back to Henry Fords research into the development of multiple hemp derived products. The amazing potential and benefits of this sustainable plant were a direct threat to the oil and timber holdings of Andrew Mellon and William Hearst. In collusion with corrupt federal officials, primarily Henry Anslinger, the intent of all legislation was to destroy the hemp industry, which was successfully accomplished. This led to the establishment of the petro-chemical industry which is responsible for the decades of death and destruction which ensued. The reefer madness campaign was a deceptive propaganda scheme designed to conceal this truth from the public by playing on their continuing racist attitudes. The enemy was not cannabis, it was hemp, and the threat it posed to corporate profit and control. Same old shit. Reply · Like · 44 · Follow Post · Edited · August 5, 2014 at 12:32pm
