Patrick Stewart just made my heart melt. Ive been reading a great book by Rebecca Solnit called Men Explain Things To Me, a collection of essays regarding male power & violence against women (even in simple, non-physical things like conversation). This is a beautiful example of not that! This is a man inviting other men to take responsibility and step up to protect their female friends, family, and fellow human beings. Very compassionate how he also does something in remembrance of his father...well done Captain Picard. The people who could do most to improve the situation of so many women & children are in fact men.
