Paul Falconer-West added 2 new photos. Yesterday Kim Walpole, along with Bran and Sonia Cooke, and many other caring wildlife volunteers spent many hours out doing food/water drops for the REAL victims of the recent Bullsbrook fires that burnt through 7000hectres. TODAY, I had my 221 DPAW Callout for one of the victims of that bushfire. This poor doe had her feet and paws burnt off and her tail tip burnt. The person who started that fire needs to look at these photos and understand how mindless his actions were. This doe had been in a painful state this state for 13 days. Thanks to the bike riders who called the Wildlife Help Line(08-9474 9055). Since joining the Animal Control Agents in Jun08. I have shot 146 kangaroos, 2 foxes, found 35 Dead on my Arrival, 25 I could not find because the callers did not stay for my arrival, and two were called off whilst I was on my way. Please consider the injured wildlife, call the helpline or myself on 041 996 2868, and stay to help the volunteer ACA when he arrives. Kangaroos have a very strong survival instinct and will move whichever way they can to seek refuge. The ACAs need to be taken to the kangaroos refuge so that we can relieve their pain as soon as possible.
