Most people have forgotten or overlooked most of the recommendations of the 2012 Expert Panels Report. The attention and susequent actions and responses focussed almost entirely on off-shore processing and stop the boats. In doing that, the majority of the recommendations concerned with regional solutions faded into obscurity. Paul makes a strong case for us to again recognise the importance of the region in any durable solutions. As he points out the pressure is still there, the needs are still there and at the moment are ignored or dismissed. Please read and reflect on what he has to say and offer.
