Pauls Books And Parchments - - - Although his ministry was legendary, trivial matters like a tonic for his stomach, or “the cloke I left at Troas,” remind us that Paul was a man like the rest of us. He called for “the books, but especially the parchments,” to be brought unto him. Without an office, headquarters, or permanent staff, the man of God supervised a vast network of ministers and saints by letter-writing. Books and parchments (letters) were vital tools of his trade. - - - 2 Timothy 4:13 - “The cloke that I left at Troas with Carpus, when thou comest, bring with thee, and the books, but especially the parchments.”
