(Updated Video) There was an article published this week on the future of Credit Card Payment Processing in one of the golf industry newsletters. While there was some mention of things to come from several players who each have part but not all of the solution mostly promised sometime in the future… We want you to know that the future is here today with Club Prophet Systems. All of this available TODAY! There was also a statement that every club should do PIN Debit and that PIN Debit was cheaper for transactions over $10. We disagree. While we have the functionality and can set you up with PIN Debit, the analysis we conducted shows that unless the ticket is over $70 or so, it is cheaper to do Signature Debit. This amount will vary based some external factors so what we did was build in a slick feature to let the software pick the best option for you. So if the cutoff is $70, and the ticket is less than the cutoff, the software will run as Signature Debit (the card holder will not have the option to select PIN Debit). But if it is over $70 (or whatever you set the cutoff threshold at), the user will now be presented with the Credit/Debit option. This helps you get the best rate on each transaction by enabling the PIN Debit option only when it is in the merchant’s best interest to do so (not the processors).
