Payroll Clerk - Golden State Warriors (Oakland, CA) Would you like to be part of the business organization of Bay Area’s professional NBA team? We have an opening for a non-exempt status Payroll Clerk and are looking for a professional with integrity, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic to provide Payroll/Accounting support to our Finance team. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual who demonstrates initiative, flexibility, teamwork, maturity under pressure, and can anticipate and resolve problems before they escalate. Key Responsibilities ? Support bi-monthly or monthly payroll processing, multi-state, semi-monthly payrolls. ? Provide hands on support with preparation and verification of data entry including employee status changes. ? Process manual checks for various needs including compensation and ensure all reconcilable items are updated and input into payroll and accounting systems (ADP and Great Plains). ? Address employee and manager inquiries in a timely manner. ? Reconcile payroll accounts. ? Process, balance, report and distribute W-2s. ? Create budget projections. ? Prepare periodic financial, statistical and operational reports as needed. ? Perform internal audits of payroll accounts. ? Prepare materials for internal and external auditors. ? Complete wage assignments and labor statistics reporting. ? Handle special requests/projects including creating ad hoc reports. ? Support Accounts Payable with receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices. ? Maintain and update procedural manuals as needed. Required Experience & Skills ? Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting, or relevant work experience. ? Minimum 2 years of Accounting/ Payroll experience. ? Minimum 2 years of ADP experience. ? Previous time and attendance experience (i.e. ADP EzLabor, Kronos , ABI Mastermind) ? Possess a good working knowledge of payroll interfaces, imports and system edits. ? Basic understanding of Federal and State wage and hour laws. ? Ability to prioritize while paying great attention to detail. ? High degree of integrity, discretion, professionalism, and accountability to achieve quality results. ? Ability to work independently or in a team environment. ? Strong team player with a customer-first focus and attitude. ? Flexible work hours required, including some evenings and weekends as needed. ? Ability to adapt in a changing environment. ? Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
