Peace.... One of the secrets of living a life of peace is believing the promises of God. The Lord promises to meet all our needs (see Philippians 4:19), and he sometimes gives us specific promises through prayer, but our labor and worry reveal that we arent so sure. When God sent an angel to tell Paul that he and his traveling companions would not perish, Paul assured them that it will happen just as he told me (Acts 27:25). If we believe, we too can be at peace in the midst of a violent storm. If we do not believe, we will fret. Times of trouble are good times to review the promises of Scripture.
