Peanut Blossom Cookies By: Gram Spiva and Pap ( John Sr.) Family 1 3/4 cup all purpose flour 1/2 tsp., salt 1 tsp. baking soda 1/2 cup sugar 1/2 cup brown sugar packed 1/2 cup shortenings 1/2 cup Jiffy peanut butter 1 egg 2 Tblsp. Milk 1 teaspoon vanilla 48 candy Hershey Kisses Heat oven at 375 Combine all ingredients except candy kisses in large mixing bowl. Mix on lowest speed of mixer until dough forms. Shape dough into balls using a rounded teaspoon for each ball. Roll plain balls in regular sugar or in red and green sugars. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Do not over bake. Top each cookie with unwrapped Hershey kisses , immediately after cookies come out of oven. Your little ones will take the kisses off each cookie, hide them if you can .
