Pedro Quiroz, Jr. Aug. 5, 1957-March 23, 2014 Age: 57 Residence: Dacono Pedro “Pete” Quiroz Jr., 56, of Dacono , passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2014. He was born on Aug. 5, 1957, in Cheyenne, Wyo., to Pedro and Rosalie Quiroz of Platteville. Pete attended school in Platteville and attended Valley High School in Gilcrest. Like his father, he had a love for fishing and had a talent for growing things in the garden. He possessed a great sense of humor and was always ready to share his “joke of the day.” He cherished his dogs, Thunder and Mercedes, and his bird Spikey. Pete is survived by his wife, Teresa; his children, Dustin and Clarrissa; and his seven grand-children, whom he loved very much. Also surviving are his mother, three brothers, four sisters, 14 nieces and nephews, and two grandnephews. He was preceded in death by his father; and grandmother, Toma Mary Velasquez. Memorial Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 31, 2014, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, 514 Marion Ave., Platteville, CO.
