Penelope Sweet Pickles UPDATE!! Last week, we posted about this sweet girl, rescued by Ghetto Rescue FFoundation (GRFF), and were thrilled to let you all know that she has been recovering beautifully from her knee surgery. According to Ms. Pickles foster mom, Tami (President/Founder of GRFF), Pickles is a total 10 and is a very, very special little hippo. Though Pickles has been eating a rich, hearty diet, she has yet to put on a significant amount of weight; Tami says this is a usual, normal thing in street dogs. Her metabolism is adjusting from a constant state of starvation towards a healthier, more sustainable state. To ease her transition, Pickles has been enjoying the occasional junk treats that shes used to, like cheese and bread, alongside her healthy, high-calorie diet. Enjoy, Ms. Pickles!!
