Penn celebrated its first sectional crown since 2007 by defeating Riley, 70-45, to win the South Bend Sectional championship. The Kingsmen (22-1) play Concord (15-8) at 1 p.m. (EDT) on Saturday in the Michigan City Regional. Penn beat Concord 66-48 on Dec. 13. Lake Central (19-3) plays LaPorte (16-7) at 11 a.m. The regional championship will be played at 8 p.m. EDT on Saturday night. Penn boasts 15 sectional championships overall. Billy Doslak scored 15 points to lead Penn. Jordan Geist scored 14 points, and Taylor Brooks scored 12. Ryan Lutz scored 10 points. Penn outrebounded Riley 36-18 and owned a 13-7 edge in second-chance points. Penn was 7-of-13 from 3-point range and Riley was 2-of-10. Penn was 25-of-28 free-throw shooting and Riley was 7-of-14. Penn had 16 points off of turnovers and Riley had eight.
