PennDOT’s Scheduled Roadwork for the Week of October 17 through October 24 Luzerne County: -A2 Short Term Projects: On Saturday, October 18 there will be traffic issues from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on SR 93 Broad St. Hazleton for the Town & Trail 5k/10k Walk and Run. Please be advised that Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins will have home games on Friday, Oct 24 starting at 7:05 p.m. and Sunday, Oct 26 starting at 4:05 p.m. at Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza. There may be traffic issues on I-81 at Exit 168 (Highland Park Blvd) at beginning and end of games. The paving process will begin on SR 415 starting at the Intersection of SR 118 to Harveys Lake on Saturday, October 10 through October 24 starting at 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be no work on Sundays. The crews will begin in the northbound lane and continue to the southbound lane. All work is weather dependent. SR 315 there will be traffic issues on Thursday, Oct 23, 2014 for concrete pouring on bridge project from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. SR 29-South Valley-Hanover Township-Lane restriction-Patching-10/20/2014-10/20/2014-7 a.m. to 3 p.m. SR 29-South Valley-Hanover Township-Lane restriction-Patching-10/23/14-10/24/2014-7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Long Term Projects: *SR 118 – Lehman Township – There is widening work taking place at the intersection of SR 118 and Idetown Road. There will be a lane shift throughout the work area during construction. Anticipated hours of operation are 7:30 A.M. to 5:30 P.M. Monday to Friday with occasional Saturday work. Anticipated Completion – October 2014 *SR 309 – Mountain Top – single lane pattern, traffic stops for blasting, no trucks over 10.5 north or south from 4 A.m. to 11 P.M., and a reduced speed Limit. Anticipated Completion – November 2014 *SR 415 - Lake township – there will be paving work beginning in August. Anticipated Completion – End of October 2014 *SR 940 (Foster Avenue/Berwick Street) – White Haven – There will be Handicap ramp work please use caution when traveling through this area. Anticipated Completion August 2015 Pothole Patching: PennDOT crews will continue to patch potholes throughout the county.
