Pentecost-Rhythms... Strange. Almost everybody loves God, but - TopicsExpress

Pentecost-Rhythms... Strange. Almost everybody loves God, but only very few love their fellow men. Quite strange. Well, God is much easier to love. No one can see Him. But it is difficult to love what you can see, smell, hear, taste, touch - what implacably stands before you and forces you to either come out of yourself or withdraw into your shell. Uber-strange. And when one speaks of God, one should make it clear that the God one refers to supra, the God who is easier to love, is not the Being who made all things, the Being who created us and makes demands on us. This God is independent of man. He does not need man. Man, au contraire, needs Him. Man exists, thanks to Him. The God one speaks of is rather a mental construct, a fruit of the imagination which cannot exist outside the castle of the mind. It is this God that most people who profess Theism believe in, a God completely the figment of their skewered imaginations, a God totally anything they want Him/Her/It/They to be. Selah. (P.S.: This is not a Theology Class. I speak for myself. If this does not agree with what you believe in, kindly jump and pass. I am not interested in debates that leadeth to nowhere this morning. Peace.)
