People: With Athletico Gazette consigned to the history books, and after much deliberation, Stokoemotiv Whitby FC is born. The arguably ever-so talented team, which will once again play in red and white, has been sponsored by the super gents at The Station Inn Whitby. With a smart logo too courtesy of Robin Hoods Bays Jack Barber were all raring to go in our first match of a new era on Sunday November 3rd at Whitby Town FC. As usual, well be going head to head with our old foes Real Gothic FC , as well as the Sisters Of Real in the penalty shoot out at half time. So we want as many people there to raise as much money as we can for our three good causes. The Willow Foundation and SOS Childrens Villages will benefit from our efforts while cancer charities will be supported in memory of two very special local people (more details to follow). The match takes place at Whitby Town FC. Kick off is 2pm but the clubhouse opens at 1pm for drinks - admission is only £1. There will be a huge raffle and auction at full time with lots of Whitby Goth Weekend-related goodies and if any Whitby and district businesses want to contribute please get in touch with me. With around 30 footballers already wanting to play, Ill also be on the lookout for ladies to take on the Sisters so get in touch if you fancy it. Well, that, in a nutshell, is it for the time being.
