People act as if our situations are the same and like its so many other instances that can compare to the injustice of their ethnicity group. African Americans are the only group of people who did not have a choice to be here or not. A lot of wrong doing happened in the past to other groups, but they still chose to be here. Slavery happened for 400 years and the economy flourished off the hard work of our African American ancestors. The opportunity and economic wealth a lot of people have today was because their ancestors greatly benefited from slavery. Ignorance isnt a bad thing, its something to build on.
