People always argue about footballers wages and the why do they get paid so much to kick a ball around for 90 mins? Well my answer to that is there are a few reasons why, 1; they are entertainers and people who are in entertainment especially the big stars can expect a couple of million for a film that often lasts less than a football match, 2; they bring in massive amounts of revenue, from people paying to watch them, shirt sales, scarves and other merchandise, to put it bluntly if you worked for a company and your name had earned that company a lot of money you would expect a large wage to accompany their profits, 3; Football is a career that takes sacrifice from a young age and can often be at the expense of a lifetimes dedication on a 1 in 100 chance of success for a career that can end at any time and will last less than 20 years in most cases, 4; if you want the best you have to pay the best and that rings true in any walk of life.
