People are finding it hard to accept Fridays decision as there - TopicsExpress

People are finding it hard to accept Fridays decision as there were 1.6 million for and 2 million against. Its almost half the country. In that 1.6 million the majority of YES voters were from the 4 most poverty stricken areas in not only scotland, but EUROPE! Thats right, EUROPE. So whilst myself and my husband burst our arse working full time in pretty well paid jobs and are still unable to afford full time childcare costs, when people who live near me are queuing for food at a Maryhill Foodbank which has run out of food and when promises are broken and further austerity cuts are a certainty, why we shouldnt express out disappointment in mourning what could have been. The country is divided and thats sad, but I wont compromise my beliefs because we are nothing without our hopes, faith and integrity. Im getting sick of people saying get over it. If it were a YES vote would they have gotten over it as easily? I sincerely doubt it. Im not resentful or bitter, Im immensely disappointed. I think phrases like betrayed by our own country is harsh, as most unionists voted for what they thought was right for them. However, we cannot legislate for the way we feel, we are human, we have emotion and when we are hurt we should be able to express just that.
