People are motivated by 4 things in life: Family, freedom, fortune, and fame. They are motivated to commit. And they are motivated to succeed. But success isnt easy. If it were easy we would all be millionaires. Success requires commitment - it requires that you make a vow, come hell or high water, you will not quit. Success is the byproduct of a lifelong commitment to excellence, to endurance, and to learning how to take the hits and keep getting up. In the words of Rocky, You aint gonna believe this, but you used to fit right here. Id hold you up to say to your mother, this kids gonna be the best kid in the world. This kids gonna be somebody better than anybody I ever knew. And you grew up good and wonderful. It was great just watching you, every day was like a privilege. Then the time come for you to be your own man and take on the world, and you did. But somewhere along the line, you changed. You stopped being you. You let people stick a finger in your face and tell you youre no good. And when things got hard, you started looking for something to blame, like a big shadow. Let me tell you something you already know. The world aint all sunshine and rainbows. Its a very mean and nasty place and I dont care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it aint about how hard youre hit. Its about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. Thats how winning is done! Now if you know what youre worth then go out and get what youre worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you aint where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that aint you! Youre better than that! Im always gonna love you no matter what. No matter what happens. Youre my son and youre my blood. Youre the best thing in my life. But until you start believing in yourself, you aint gonna have a life. The divorce rate in America is 60%. The divorce rate among American millionaires is 2%. Is it the money? NO. Absolutely not. People who become millionaires do so by understanding that the difference between a dream and a reality is COMMITMENT. Commitment is what develops when the fire and the fuel burn out. Commitment is the ability to remember why you stepped into the ring in the first place, while youre lying face down on the ground. Its not about how hard you get hit. Its about how many hits you can take and keep moving forward. The achieve real success is to find freedom. Freedom of time, money, freedom from addictions. Freedom from self doubt. You always here people who are incapable of committing to more say that money is the root of all evil. Money is not the root of all evil. Money is just a tool. Give an evil man a hammer and he will use it to do evil things. Give an evil man money he will use it to do evil things. You give a good person money, he will most likely use it to do good things. Money is nothing more than a straight and narrow path to the status of a mans heart. What are you made of? What motives you? What is your level of commitment? How many hits can you take before you finally collapse? The only difference between a dreamer and a doer is commitment.
