People are stupid. If there comes a day that youre doing your job and people arent happy about it,a day when a hundred people surround you spitting at you and ironically call you scum for trying to earn a wage, youll be glad for a Garda presence. These Gardaí are doing there jobs. They are protecting people, they are at these protests to keep public order and to keep people safe. In the morning when they wake up no Irish water employee smiles at the thought of swindling the Irish public. They have bills to pay (including this water charge) and they need to put food on their table. No Garda wakes up salivating at the thought of aggravating the public. Dont get me wrong. These water charges are wrong and we should protest them but as is our silly paddy way we have misdirected our anger. Its the government that are to blame. Youre biting at the hands and dismissing the head of your enemy. Wise up Ireland, turn your anger in the right direction.
