People ask about Timmy Linhart daily so an update....Official diagnosis was Sudden Cardiac Death of unknown origin. Numerous doctors can find nothing wrong with his heart so they assume an electrical malfunction caused the "event". He remains on anti seizures meds as a precaution - the seizures were secondary to the cardiac arrest. He is on blood thinners to treat the pulmonary embolism that resulted form the cooling catheter used during the coma to preserve brain function. Lung scan in late Sept to check that. His ICU and home monitor are working perfectly and have shown no unusual heart rhythms in the last three months. Timmy has gotten credit for 2 of 5 spring classes and is working on the other three. He has returned to work and is looking forward to returning to ISU in the fall. To see him you would never know any of this happened - doctors call him a miracle and proclaim him healthy??!!!!
