People cannot receive salvation through logic and wisdom alone. Those who are not saved have no logic/Logos of God. They need to receive Christ as the operating system first. That is why Metaphysics alone can never get people to receive salvation. They would simply use their minds and knowledge to explain away everything to do with salvation. Preaching the Gospel without using intellectual words of men may seem like foolishness and indoctrination. But it pleased God through the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. Logic and wisdom can get someone who is already saved out of spiritual darkness and back into the Light of Christ if they have gone astray. But that is because they already have the Holy Spirit and Mind of Christ to understand and change. For those who are not saved, high level intelligent discussion and metaphysical reasoning cannot bring them to Christ.
