People charged defense fences backed by masked police squads with umbrella, yelling: free the students. This should have occurred before a rather spread-around clip showing a senior officer (in white uniform) spraying pepper-spray directly onto a mid-aged man face literally within arms length distance. Among police warning announcements there was also a discerned broken male voice pleading Charge no more, you are no match to the armed police force! Among the commotion and emotions, one may want to step back to think: what causes all these? Still in the confrontation, I must applaud the police (those shown in this video) for showing their constraint even as they were tensed and provoked. If you ever go out to the front lines on 9/27 and 28 before the teargas canisters were fired, you would only see minimal deployment of police in a line or two again a gathering crowd that stretched your eye sight. I thought the arrangement was tactical to invite outbreaks for a strong, swift and storming retaliation. Thank God it did not happen that way.
