People could be so afraid for/of their realities that when you say something that actually eases their suffocation and sets them free ---something they long to say but could not---many still choose to remain invisible, watching in the dark sidelines, unwilling to even support that which benefits them. That is why for so long, they needed to hide, to pretend, to take silently the blows of those who judge, minimize and marginalize them. This apathy would only embolden their bullies and prolong their agony in the dark.
