People dont realize how subsidizing education actually drives up the cost of education. Offering free community college work can lead to many issues. For example, univeristy systems may be forced to drive up their costs and tuition in response to a lower turnout in applications. Additionally, universities may no longer accept transfer credit from community colleges as a way to stick it to them. This plan must meticulously be thought out, down to the very last period. And no swift changes to try to correct it 3, 5, or 8 years end.
