People have Been messaging asking after William . William scar started to swell again after his second surgery to repair his cerebral fluid leak in his spine day after at the surprise of the doctor . He kindly made a urgent appointment available today to see William and advise me that William continue with bed rest ideally laying on his tummy and hope that eases the swelling he will see William again Monday earlier than expected to review again and monitor him . I asked the doctor if it is another leak he explained it may be or perhaps just swelling from surgery ..that it takes time to decipher what is actually going on . He explained the hole in Williams lining prior was not actually sewn for the lining is very fine and too risky to touch so sewn around the hole thinking would cause no further problems . I asked if I should start asking about what ifs this doesnt settle ..he suggested I dont ask ..just that I should if possibly extend our stay a further few weeks after the planned date of our return To uk on the 23rd ..now our date of leaving USA will be 15th December ..the cost of just doing that cost £2500 for changing flights and extending stay at hotel in basic room all unplanned and unprepared for .its now at a point its all surreal I have worried to such to such a point its all made me feel so ill with worry I just have to try and block it out now keep watching William and take each day as it comes and keep faith it will all work out in the end ..I cant think of all the other happy families that this sdr trip was so great for them and successful , and all the kids walking now that couldnt before , it all feels like they are on a different course from William :( ..it guts me its not my William doing same right now and hes gone thru this I just hope this is just a diversion and we get back on the path and plan we dreamed of before we came out here ....William is happy in himself he just is sick of having to lay down all time been that way since Wednesday ..he now wont get to go back to school before christmas and he misses his teachers and friends so much ..goods got to come out of this ...keeping strong and hope all works out .sorry for not informing people individually just emotionally knackered....on a good note no sign of sign of infection Im pleased about ..down but not out !!
