People have asked me why I have not done an interview in 12 years. Why I dont feel the need to have my face plastered all over the dog rescue network or animal plant...etc. The simple truth, I dont need to. Our community believes in us. They have supported our mission with their hearts. And I have found that no one wants to print the good stories, the success stories. Its only about the neglect and abuse not about the accomplishments of an entire remote community who has no direct vet care. And why not? It doesnt sell. There is no donation in positive. And I understand that...I just dont buy into it. If my comments have divided support, I am truly sorry, that was not my intention. It was for MPR to STOP writing that they sponsor clinics in Moosonee/Moose Factory and Fort Albany, it is NOT true. For MPR to stop calling us abusers. For someone to check before printing such things. And mostly to set the record straight. I see I have failed in that. Karen Metatawabin Wesley, we love you and I am sorry for what she wrote. And I too am not a teacher, or nurse or doctor. I was born here. And very proud of our community.
