People have been asking me why I care so much about people shopping on Thanksgiving or Black Friday. Its a fair question. The truth is, I really dont care. What people do with their time is none of my business. However, for 364 days of the year I read posts on FB and hear people complaining about big business, and how its ruining America, and how consumerism and commercialism suck, and how department stores, big box stores and fast food restaurants pay their employees subsistence wages. They also complain about how the holidays are now completely commercialized. Then, most of these same people rush out the door on Thanksgiving and Black Friday to support the very businesses that they claim to despise. They trample one another, push, shove, fight, and wait in endless lines, and for what? Some deal that was made up by the store to get you in the door? Thats my only point. Do whatever the hell you want, but then dont jump on the bandwagon later and start railing against big business. Have a great day everyone nonetheless, whatever you might be up to today.
