People keep remarking on the street how they have never read such an outpouring of letters to the editor as they have seen with the Bigelsens. Yes, there is a reason for this -- because Dr B and family have made all the difference in so many lives. I had two occurrences of breast cancer. My second breast cancer was stage 4. I went through intense chemotherapy and a double mastectomy. My prognosis was I had one year to live. And then I found Dr. B. I walked into his office looking like death and Dr. B. said, “You’re going to make it.” It was the first glimpse of hope I had heard in nine months. I became cancer free which I attribute to the therapy I received from Dr. B. It has been 10 years since my cancer diagnosis. I am so very grateful to Dr. B. and the Bigelsen family (Judy, Josh, and Adam) for their kindness, compassion, and genuine caring over the past 10 years. I truly believe I would not be here today were it not for the therapy I received. I am dismayed by this system of so-called justice that prevents Dr. B. from providing alternative therapy. The hardship this has created not only for Dr. B. and his family, by shutting the doors of his office for nine months and counting, but also to so many who could have benefited from this therapy is appalling.
