People lose jobs everyday. Today I lost mine. It has been 10 of the most amazing years of my entire life growing and creating Integrative Medicine programs and bringing healing to hundreds and hundreds of patients and families whose presence will always be held in my heart, sharing some of the most intimate sacred moments with these people. I can only hope and pray that the decision made to eliminate my position and costly affiliations and programs that other co workers jobs were saved as a result. I understand this as a business decision but mourn fellow employees who after 10 years are near and dear as family. I also mourn not having closure with some of my patients and families and my amazing group of yoga students. I hope they know how they are held deeply in my heart. I truly know that the gifts God has given me, to create healing environments through therapeutic music and sound healing, Reiki and yoga and teaching the healing arts and engaging clients/students to empower themselves is part of me that has nothing to do with the employment aspect. It is my vocation and calling. It is the air I breathe. Please pray for our family in this time of our transition as we figure out where to land. I am the primary wage earner so there is much to consider. With the full support of my family, we will go and move anywhere to bring this to fruition. So, the next chapter begins.... Trusting that God will guide us where we need to be.
