People made me sad Because they werent like me I would cry for them Because they couldnt see the beauty in a tree But just now I realized That its only me that cries They have no worries They have no pain But theyre slowly throwing Their lives down the drain With wishes of riches Of silver and gold What society tells them Thats what they should hold Instead of love and forgiveness Instead of health with good food Not shoving down pills Because you dont want to be rude To the doctor that pushes them And makes lots of money And the politicians who benefit Oh you think Im being funny? Theres a war for your mind Theres a war for your soul There are men in high places Who are all in control They want your kids Theyre getting their way Have you looked at the TV? Can you see what they say? Theres a hidden message That you probably dont see But its put there for you Its put there for me Terror And shootings And brown people! Oh my! But have you ever thought That those in power might lie? They might have an agenda They might want control They might not even have a soul: This went on too long, and I forgot my original point. But just know that I have your best interests at heart❤️
