People of God, this morning as I sat quietly during our monthly clothing giveaway and just watched and waited to see what The Lord would say to me, God began to speak several things to my Spirit. As the people were browsing and searching for items to accommodate their needs, I found myself sitting there becoming more and more disheartened, frustrated, burdened, angry and just grieved! It WAS NOT because of a non-desire to serve the people but it came from the EXTRA weight that comes with being a pastor. I shared with one of my daughters in ministry this evening that I pray that God allows me to live long enough to see some of these people (throughout the body of Christ) become pastors who have been called to such but yet stand on the outside looking in and have (what they believe to be) ALL the answers to what we are doing right or wrong as pastors although they have NEVER pastored ANYTHING before in their lives! Many of them can not even keep THEIR OWN homes in order much less a church! Yet they criticize ALL that we do as pastors. Nevertheless, as I sat there and prayed, I finally said, I GIVE UP! When I said it, I really wasnt expecting a response but, IMMEDIATELY, I heard the Lord say, GOOD! Thats what I wanted! The response initially puzzled me until the Lord made it clear to me that NOW that I had relinquished ALL of my right to try and fix things or help people who may not desire it, He could NOW move in and work at a greater capacity to fix orhelp that which only HE could! I said ALL that to say this, giving up IS NOT always a bad thing! It is in our ability to HUMBLE OURSELVES and TOTALLY SURRENDER to God that we create an atmosphere conducive for HIM to work miracles and provoke a desire to walk in deliverance. We must be careful NOT to allow our passion to push us over our boundaries in GODS plans in the lives of His people. A burden was lifted from me today and I dont intend to pick it up again! #SteppingBackSoHECanStepForward #DecreasingSoHeCanIncrease #SoDONE
