People often ask me , Vic , is diet really that important? Now, I want you to know that I have been working with clients for a very long time. There is a hidden code in this question and I want to share with you the breaking of that code right here. As a trainer it is more important for me to know what my client is really asking rather than the words coming from his or her mouth. Here is the cracking of the code of the importance of diet, question. Vic, how important is training versus an eating plan, because I hate really paying attention to my diet plan, but I love training and do you think I can succeed, or make a measurable improvement in my physique with paying less attention to diet and more to training because I am still working out the percentages in my head about how important diet really is and I am going to keep asking people until I find someone or some scintilla of evidence that tells me exactly what I want to hear which is that diet is not as important as I truly believe it is, I cant wait to find that person, and when I do, he or she will confirm the opposite of what I really know to be true, and that will feel weird because it is against what I know because I know diet is important, but I just want to hear it, just once, just one time, and if I hear it, even though I know it is wrong I will have been justified in my search, because I have spent a lot of time on this, back and forth about committing to the importance of diet, and once I hear it, I know that I will not agree with that person because it goes against my intuition that tells me that diet is really important, not just for bodybuilding, but for my health and I know that it is, I know it, I know it Vic, so confirm for me what I already know and tell me to stop my search now for justifying whether it is important because I know it is Vic, I know it is, and tell me the other guys who are debating the percentage of how important training is versus dieting dont know what they are talking about because what are the variables, how are they about, talking percentages when the two activities are different, what is without standard deviation, how are they coming up with percentages, there are no percentages, you eat well and you train well, you do each to the best of your ability and that is 100% of effort given the time, experience and circumstances, that you are in, debating this keeps me non-committed to the things I really know to be true Vic and all the talk of percentages is a waste of time, its all important, I know it is, I know it.
