People often ask me, how is the Aam Aadmi Party different? Well, for one, it has people like Commando Surinder Singh. He served the Indian Army for 14 years and fought in wars and several operations like Kargil War, Operation Parakram, Operation Sadbhavna, and Operation Black Thunder (NSG operations post 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks). During 26/11 Mumbai attacks, while performing operation black thunder the troop of commandos which was deployed at Hotel Taj from helicopter, Commando Surinder Singh was one of those brave ones in that troop. He got critically injured while fighting against terrorists one-on-one and lost his hearing capability by 100%. He was released from his services following his handicapped situation after losing his hearing power. He was a key activist in Janlokpal movement and is an active member of Aam Aadmi Party since its inception. He did not fear for his life, nor did considerations about his family cross his mind when he hurled himself on the terrorists on 26/11. He was serving his country then, he is serving his country now.
