People really underestimate how much pain it causes not being able to do well in school. When youre the class clown, or rude to the teacher or just sit on your phone the whole class. Youre viewed as stupid, as a low life, as unintelligent, with zero concern for your education. It sucks so bad when you promise your family and yourself that youre gonna do better tomorrow, youre going to focus, youre going to study and when you really try and you still get that test back and its an F. And it doesnt hurt or surprise anyone but you because thats what everyone expected from you, but you tried this time! It hurts when you try so hard, and it looks like you didnt try at all because of a big red 50 slapped on your paper, and handed to you, the destined failure. When people make comments about you not caring about school anyway, because you dont go to college. Nobody thinks, that maybe, just maybe I dont go to college because nobody is willing to pay $60,000 for the education of someone with a track record like mine. Its too much of a risk, and people figure it doesnt bother me, because I dont care about school anyway.
