People speak about the raise in the energy prices as if we have the luxury of choice......The country is in a disastrous situation with a threat of not being able to feed the people !!!! living on astronomical internal as well as external debts, these reform measures should have been taken long time ago since the era of Sadat, but the issue now is that such measures should strictly follow the social justice rules, and the 40% of population living under the poverty line should suffer the least, so supporting cement and steel factories and raising the electricity bill on poor people living with one lamp like those leaving their A/C 24 hours on is no longer acceptable, also the 40 billion saved by these measures should appear in the budget of education and health as they said and not to be poured into the chronic, irreparable budget deficit.Tough days are ahead and strong state is required , no place for coward leadership that shakes in front of the micro bus community !!
