People that get angry at welfare recipients are so fast to say, Just get a job, then you wouldnt need the taxes I pay to support yourself. Well check this out and then tell me what you think. Please remember, I am a FULL time University student and mother, so part time work is all I can do for now. *****WHICH DEAL WOULD YOU TAKE?******** So... I was offered a job at my university as a Supplemental Instructor (SI). This means I would have to attend the classes I would SI for every week, create a study guide based on the lessons that week and hold my own class to help the students with any thing they didnt understand. I would work 12 hours per week (plus my home lesson planning, not paid for), 48 hours per month. At the minimum wage that they pay, my whole check BEFORE taxes would be $300. No school discounts or perks. Just $300. After taxes (24%), my pay checks would be $228. The University that charges me over $7000 per semester, wants to pay me $228 for 48 hours of my time!?!?!?! What a waist of my time!!!!! I am so glad I get paid a residual income from my business so I dont have to work for any one while I finish college! I refuse to be a slave so I can build someone elses dream when I have bigger dreams of my own!
