People, we are who we are. Frustration mounts when we cast our shoulds on what we think others ought do-- with their voices, time, talent resources-- whatever. Ive seen lots of memes and dialogue around the mum of African American celebs who seemingly dont show outward displays of spending their fame currency on social justice issues. You can always count on Spike Lee and Jesse Ferguson is trending. But if you check your own social media networks, youll see not everyone is inclined to have public discourses on issues like race, class and privilege. We/you just have to raise your voice in the ways that are meaningful to you and know that it matters when you do. Its like that...and thats the way it is. -Run DMC youtube/watch?v=_hN1SKVx31s&list=RD_hN1SKVx31s#t=278
