People who know me, know I often speak about the constant noise in my head--the underlying factor that inhibits rest for me and the primary reason I take low dose meds for sleep. The more hours I am awake, the more noise that happens. I wrote an endorsement of a book at 6 AM this morning from my bed, on my cell phone because the words come whenever I am awake. This is why, in my practice, we focus first and foremost on sleep as the foundation upon which all else is built.
