People with opinions can offend some of those whose opinion differ to theirs... Some people just find other peoples opinions interesting. I like to know why people think the way they do... the events and experiences behind the beliefs. I read the Koran because I am interested in the ideology behind the lifestyles and conquering of peoples. I lived in an area where there is strong Islamic presence, and I wanted to see why Cat Stevens the musician had become a follower of Islam. I even watched some of his evangelical turn to Islam videos ... Lent to me by an evangelical Islamic friend. The Koran is not easy to read. It has lots of repetition and topics jump all over the place. It has some biblical names but the historical events surrounding those names are different to biblical and archeology history. The only Peace in it is after the whole world is Islamic and they are told to kill anyone who does not convert when offered the chance. Until their numbers are sufficient in an area they are to live peaceably... and it is not sinful to lie to any non Islamic person. Rob and I have spoken in person to Arabic speaking people who have told us this is preached in Australian mosques. Its a huge topic, a sad thing, but Jihad terrorists everywhere use civilian homes and facilities and life does not have the same value as in Israel, or Australia. The casualty rate is always high among them. The ideology is most unpleasant and the whole education system is indoctrinating the children in proud Jihad for the destruction of Jews and anyone who opposes the spread of Islam from a young age. It becomes part of their blood, and is the reason non Islamic beliefs (if the people are not murdered first and survive at all in these places) go underground. The events in Iraq this month will continue in other places. Everywhere they go they do this... When there are no Jews they start to destroy the next group. Gaza was a beautiful place when it was handed over to them but straight away they set about making it a base place to destroy Israel in the name of Allah from. They get so much material and personal support from Islamic fundamentalists too... Even the United Nations which is very anti-Semitic these days. Its a sad world to observe.
