Peoples opinions about The People whove illegally crossed over the border aside, why is it necessary to use so many RACIST words to describe Mexicans? If you changed the group of people and were calling ANYONE else these words, everyone would be horrified. Why is it okay to call these people cockroaches, sand n*ggers etc etc?? I think we are forgetting our HUMANITY. I understand views are heated about this topic, but that doesnt mean its okay or acceptable to be blatantly racist and hateful towards an entire nation of people. I lived in Mexico for 4 years. The Mexican people are some of the most warm, compassionate, loving, kind-hearted and wonderful people in the world. Sadly, the Narco drug cartels have created an atmosphere of fear, destruction, torture and death. There is wide-spread corruption and chaos. The children who have been thrust into the middle of all this are innocent and my heart breaks for them. Am I saying we should just let millions of people illegally cross the border? No. Something needs do be done immediately. But, I am asking that you dont forget our common humanity when you discuss this issue. I just watched a clip of a black woman in Louisiana calling The Children at the border every disgusting name in the book. If the roles were reversed, there would be lawsuits and outrage. You dont need to like the situation on the border, but dont allow that to turn you into someone youre not. Lets remember that these are real people, with real stories and names and that these children are caught in the middle of it all. Theres no need to be racist when talking about this disaster of a situation. Thank you.
