Peppermint and Lime Foot Scrub Are you giving your feet the - TopicsExpress

Peppermint and Lime Foot Scrub Are you giving your feet the attention they deserve? Our feet suffer, especially in the summer months, due to wearing flip flops and high heels. Why not do something about it? You only need minutes a day to achieve soft and silky feet. Lotions and moisturizers work wonders, but a good foot scrub will leave your feet feeling that just pedicured-feel. You can find foot scrubs just about anywhere, but why use your hard earned money on products with harsh chemicals and who knows what in them. Making your own “natural” products will give you a piece of mind knowing what’s in them. Now, let’s rejuvenate your feet with my favorite summer foot scrub recipe. Ingredients: Bath Salts-4 cups Unscented Oil Base-2 cups Peppermint Essential Oil- 5-7 drops Pipette Dropper Citric Acid-1 Tablespoon Clear Plastic Jars w/ White Caps- you can choose from 2oz, 4oz or 8oz 1 Fresh Lime In a mixing bowl, combine 2 cups unscented oil with 5-7 drops of the peppermint essential oil. Add in 1 tablespoon of citric acid, stir mixture. Zest lime and squeeze juice into wet mixture. Slowly add bath salts 1 cup at a time (you may add more or less salts– use your best judgement). Once the scrub is well-blended, add into clear plastic jars. Your foot scrub is ready to use. If you’re giving this scrub as a gift, add a colored ribbon or twine to dress up the plastic jar. If you choose to add a label, do so before adding foot scrub to jar. This scrub will be oily. You only need to use 1-2 tablespoons per a foot. *For a festive scrub, mix in some red coloring to make a holiday scrub. Garnish the jar with green and gold ribbon, and you have the perfect holiday gift! FYI: With using any oily product, please use caution. Your shower floor may be slippery.
