Performance, Flow and Balance. I am really directing you to the attention that the act of painting is an artistic performance in its own right. On that has been rightly recognised by Aldi Pudenk and documented in this series of great photographs entitled, Action Painting. Its a concept thats beautifully executed in the form of a public display that brings life and wonder to the creation of art by showing you exactly how its done. This series of photos brings that process to life and shows you a personal journey of the artist which he is willing to share. Its a special moment and the transformation of it into a performance is one that shows the need for flow and balance in creativity and the creative process. It is flow that allows you to channel your emotions and balance that gives you the calm to transmit that energy without disrupting others. That balance comes through experience, practice and training and flow is the insight within that allows you to channel that into creative energy. This series is a demonstration of that, capturing a performance that I would love to see. In many ways it gives a more concrete connection to the abstract art, one that we like sharing today. Being able to understand the needs of others around you and the environment; listening is what helps you perform. Feeling your audience and feeding off them to create every moment of energy.
