Performance Now Theatre Company announces auditions for the musical drama JANE EYRE Music and Lyrics by Paul Gordon book by John Caird Directed by Bernie Cardell Music Direction by Lee Ann Scherlong Choreography by Meg Glatthar AUDITION DATES: Saturday, July 27th (3:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.) & Sunday, July 28th (2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.) CALLBACKS: Sunday, July 28th (6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.) AUDITION LOCATION: Little Theater Dance Studio, 9142 W. Ken Caryl Ave., Littleton, 80127 To make your audition appointment, please visit our website at performancenow.org ALL ROLES ARE AVAILABLE Jane Eyre – (female – late 20’s). A woman who is about to experience an extraordinary life. Young Jane – A girl around 10 years old. Helen – a girl around 13 years old. Adele – a French girl around 10 years old. Edward Rochester – (male – 30’s) – a man with a mysterious past. Mrs. Fairfax – The housekeeper of Thornfield. Blanche Ingram – (female – late 20’s) – a young woman who wishes to marry Mr. Rochester John Reed – a boy around 14, Jane’s cousin. ENSEMBLE: (10-15 people…ages 12 and above) additional people will also be cast to round out the world of Jane Eyre. This is a very busy ensemble show as they play all of the other assorted characters from the novel. (NOTE: all leads listed above with the exception of Jane and Mr. Rochester will also play other assorted roles). PREPARE: 16 – 32 bars from a musical of your choice. Please bring sheet music; an accompanist will be provided. No taped music or a cappella allowed Also, please bring a headshot, resume, and list of conflicts. REHEARSALS: All rehearsals will take place in the Littleton/Highlands Ranch area. Rehearsals will begin Saturday, August 10th and will take place on Saturdays and Sundays during the day. There will also be a few select music rehearsals on weeknights. All actors are paid a $150 stipend. TECH WEEK: October 7 – 10 at the Lakewood Cultural Center; Call time 6:00pm PERFORMANCES: October 11 – 20 at the Lakewood Cultural Center Fridays at 7:30 p.m., Saturdays at 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., and Sundays at 2:00 p.m. SYNOPSIS: For a century and a half, Charlotte Bronte’s classic novel has continued to entertain and inspire generations making it one of the truly great love stories of all time. This classic tale of gothic romance gains a hauntingly beautiful score and tragically moving songs in its musical adaptation. Nominated for five Tony Awards, JANE EYRE explores destiny, deception, and discovery all while enchanting audiences with a timeless love story.
