Perhaps Im looking at this wrong, but could someone explain why some companies charge a convenience fee if you pay for their services with an electronic payment on line? If I send you a check for payment, someone within your organization has to check the mail, open my letter, enter my payment in your accounting system, endorse the check, scan it for deposit or physically take it to the bank. If I pay on line, you dont have to do any of this. So why I am paying you extra? Who exactly is the one who is more convenienced by my electronic payment? Please, can someone enlighten me?????
