Perhaps Tuesday can be likened to a batsman who comes one down in cricket. And as many craftsmen, who have graced that position over the years have shown, it could represent different philosophies of tackling the challenge at hand. On the one hand, you might adopt the steely resolve and unmatched determination of Rahul Dravid, to weather all that the day throws your way, surviving the oncoming tide bravely through sheer grit, tenacity and strength of character. On the other, you could be like Viv Richards, summarily dispatching from your presence, any problems which cross your path. Strolling the pitch with such verve and aggression, that the problem itself begins to have doubts. Two influences at the opposite ends of the spectrum to consider, as you take guard and ponder about how to bat out the day.
